Laser scanning of the Estonian Mining Museum and compilation of a 3D model for renovation
The aim of the work was to create a 3D model of the current situation to serve as the basis for further design and construction work in the oil valorisation enhancement plant.
The buildings and their surroundings were measured by laser scanning. The result was a point cloud that was used to construct digital 3D baseline models of buildings using Autodesk Revit software. Point clouds were also handed over to the Customer in Autodesk Recap formats.
Autodesk Recap makes it convenient to view, split and save the cloud as separate files, if necessary, for optimum CPU performance during point cloud display. A point cloud in Recap format can be linked to a Revit 3D model.
